Tawa Pulao

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 tbsp of oil or butter
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup finely chopped tomato
  • ½ cup boiled green peas
  • 1/4 cup diced and boiled carrots
  • 1 small boiled and cubed potato
  • ½ tsp of turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp of pav bhaji masala
  • 1 green chilli
  • Coriander to garnish

Instructions

  • In a nonstick pan, heat up some oil or butter and add onions to it. Add chopped tomatoes and salt so that tomatoes start softening.
  • Add boiled peas, boiled potato, carrots and all dry spices. Mix it and cook it from 2 minutes. If the mixture feels too dry and is sticking to pan, add 1/4 cup of water and let the mixture dry before you add rice.
  • Add cooked rice to it and mix it gently trying not to break the rice.
  • Garnish it with coriander and serve with some cold yogurt and sliced onion.
